If you have a medical emergency, need to cancel or cut your trip short, or you have another situation, call us as soon as possible.

Note: If you purchased Travel HealthProtector® insurance from RBC Royal Bank®, click here for information.

If you have not departed and need to cancel your trip:

  1. Call your travel agent or carrier immediately to cancel your trip no later than one business day after the cause of cancellation.
  2. Call us the same day (if possible) at the numbers below:
    • (514) 748-2244 or 1 800-263-8944 (from Québec)
    • (905) 816-2572 or 1 800 263-8944 (from everywhere else in Canada)

Hours of operation: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 8:30 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time)

If you are on your trip and have a medical emergency, need to cut your trip short, or have another situation (such as lost baggage):

Contact us anytime day or night using one of these numbers:

  • 1 800 387-2487 (from Canada or the U.S.)
  • (905) 816-2561 (collect call from anywhere)

  • 1-888-298-6340 (toll-free fax from U.S. or Canada)
  • (905) 813-4719 (general fax number)

Note: If you have a medical emergency and are unable to call before receiving emergency medical care, we ask that you (or someone else on your behalf) call us at the earliest possible opportunity.

We'll help you no matter where you are. If you don't speak the language, our multilingual professionals can help arrange the care you need with a local doctor or facility. We can also contact your family or employer and help arrange any other assistance you need.

Tip: Try to have your policy number on hand when you call. You will find this number on the front cover of your policy booklet and wallet card. If you don't have the number when you call, don't worry, we will still be able to fully assist you.
