Visitors to Canada Plan

A unique plan for friends or family members (84 years of age and younger) coming to visit, new immigrants waiting for their government health insurance plan coverage, visitors travelling on a work permit or student visa, or Canadians not eligible for government health insurance plan coverage. There are three plan options with varying benefits of Emergency Medical Insurance and Travel Accident Insurance: Visitor Plan I, Visitor Plan II, Visitor Plan III.

Additional Coverage

Are you looking for coverage in addition to the coverage you're purchasing? You can purchase riders that are designed for travellers who require coverage over and above our most comprehensive packages. There are two options you can choose from.

Package Upgrade

Have you purchased a Deluxe Package, Non-Medical Package or Travel within Canada Package but need more coverage? You can purchase this rider for additional coverage:

Benefit	Description
Transportation on Same Class Ticket Benefit	This covers the transportation benefits for the same class transportation instead of economy class.
Subsistence Allowance Benefit Increase	Increases your subsistence allowance benefit to a maximum of $5,000 (with a daily maximum of $500) provided under Emergency Medical Insurance and Cancellation & Interruption Insurance.
Entertainment Benefit	If delayed beyond the scheduled return date, this insurance covers up to $100 for entertainment expenses to attend a ticketed event, such as a musical show, theatrical play or sports game.
Special Event Benefit	This insurance covers you if you are planning to attend a scheduled event such as a wedding, sporting event or conference, and your departure is delayed. It will cover up to $600 for additional transportation costs of an alternate route, on a scheduled carrier, to the planned destination so you can arrive on time.
Increase Delay of Baggage & Personal Effects Benefit	Increases the maximum sums payable under Baggage & Personal Effects Insurance up to $750.

Golf/Ski Upgrade

If you've purchased a Deluxe Package, Non-Medical Package or Travel within Canada Package, you can enhance your coverage with the purchase of the Golf/Ski Upgrade:

Benefit	Description
Trip Interruption	Golf - This insurance covers you for non-refundable booked green fees up to $100 per day/$400 maximum. Ski - This insurance covers you for non-refundable lift tickets up to $100 per day/$400 maximum.
Baggage Delay	Golf - In the event your golf clubs are delayed, this insurance covers up to $100 per day/$400 maximum for the rental of golf clubs and the purchase of reasonable golf accessories. Ski - In the event your ski equipment is delayed, this insurance covers up to $100 per day/$400 maximum for the rental of ski equipment and purchase of reasonable ski accessories.
